Description

Blue Gamma Cliff is an outdoor crag located in Utah. The area offers traditional climbing. The climbing here is on sandstone. Sandstone provides outstanding natural friction and often features pockets, edges, and face holds carved by erosion. Important: never climb on wet sandstone, as it becomes structurally weak when saturated. Wait at least 48 hours after rain. Blue Gamma Cliff draws climbers looking to explore the crags of Utah. The best time to visit is March through November depending on elevation. Access notes: public. Utah offers some of the most diverse climbing in the country, from the desert sandstone towers of Indian Creek to the quartz monzonite of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The dry climate provides excellent friction year-round. Check local climbing forums and guidebooks for current conditions, approach details, and any seasonal closures before visiting Blue Gamma Cliff.
